Being a business customer at a grocery store means the company buys groceries without staff paying out of pocket and collecting receipts. In Norway that happens in four ways: a chain business card with one consolidated invoice a month, invoice per purchase in the chains' online stores, an arrangement directly with the store, or wholesale at Storcash. This guide goes through what NorgesGruppen, Coop, Rema 1000, Bunnpris and Oda actually offer, with links to the sources.
Four ways to buy groceries on invoice

A business card from the chain
NorgesGruppen and Coop issue their own business cards. The card is used at the checkout like an ordinary payment card, and purchases are collected on one invoice. NorgesGruppen's card works at Joker, Meny, Spar and Eurospar, Kiwi, Jacob's, Nærbutikken, Gigaboks and Storcash. Coop's card works in all Coop stores, such as Extra, Obs, Coop Mega, Coop Prix and Coop Marked.

Invoice per purchase in an online store
The online stores of Joker, Meny and Spar offer invoicing through Walley with 14 days to pay, alongside the business card. Oda has its own business account with an invoice due 14 days after delivery, and adds a credit and logistics fee to the item prices for businesses.

An arrangement directly with the store
Rema 1000 has no central scheme: each franchisee decides, and businesses have to ask the store. Bunnpris accepts applications to become a credit customer on a form. A Joker store, on the other hand, cannot run its own credit accounts, so there the invoice always goes through NorgesGruppen's business card.

Wholesale for clubs, associations and kitchens
Storcash is NorgesGruppen's cash-and-carry for businesses, clubs and organisations; in the Grenland area it is at Kjørbekk in Skien. NorgesGruppen's business card works there too, but Storcash requires its own customer account.

What does a business card cost?
NorgesGruppen's price list, linked from joker.no and read in September 2026, lists no set-up fee, an annual fee of 120 kr per card for private companies and 250 kr for public bodies, 45 kr per electronic invoice and 59 kr per paper invoice. The reminder fee is 65 kr. Trumf loyalty points cannot be combined with the card. Coop does not publish its fees on the business card page; they are in the application at Coop Bedrift.

What does your accountant need?
The voucher. With a business card the original receipts come attached to the invoice, and NorgesGruppen adds a VAT summary. If staff pay with their own cards, every receipt has to be collected and attached to an expense claim. The deduction rules for food and drink for employees are their own, so ask your accountant before setting up a standing arrangement.

Yes. At the NorgesGruppen chains (Joker, Meny, Spar, Kiwi and more) and Coop it is done with a business card that collects purchases on one invoice. Rema 1000 leaves it to each franchisee, and Bunnpris accepts applications to become a credit customer. In the online stores of Joker, Meny and Spar, businesses can also pay by invoice per purchase through Walley.
Which grocery stores have business cards?

Does Rema 1000 have a business card?
Not centrally. Rema 1000 states that the chain does not offer central shopping or business accounts, and that each franchisee decides. Some Rema stores offer local business arrangements with monthly invoicing, so ask the store directly.
What is the difference between a business card and an online invoice?
The business card is used at the checkout in the physical store and collects all purchases on one monthly invoice. An online invoice covers one purchase at a time, goes through a payment provider such as Walley, and is usually due in 14 days. The card suits regular small purchases, online invoicing suits single orders with delivery.
Can clubs and associations get a grocery business card?
NorgesGruppen says the card is for private and public organisations and requires an organisation number and a credit check; whether associations are approved is not stated on its website, so ask NorgesGruppen Finans. Storcash is open to clubs and organisations, and a neighbourhood store like Joker Osebro can in any case pick orders for events by arrangement.
How long does the business get to pay?
NorgesGruppen's business card gives up to 45 days of interest-free credit, 56 days for public bodies, because the invoice is sent on the 1st of the month after the purchase with 14 or 25 days to pay. Coop states 32 days from receipt of the invoice. Walley invoices in online stores and Oda give 14 days.
