JokerOsebro
About the store

The store that's open when everything else is closed

You'll find us in the brick building at Storgata 161, right by the old Osebro bridge, with a red carpet out on the street and an “open 365 days” sign in the window. The store is brand new, run by locals from Porsgrunn, and stocks what you need day to day: fresh bakery goods, fruit and vegetables, and most of what you need for dinner.

How the store works

The door is open around the clock, all year, and shopping works the same whenever you come: you let yourself in with your bank card, scan your items, and let yourself out.

In the morning and daytime there are people at work to help you find your way. The rest of the day you press the support call button by the checkouts if you need someone. The whole flow is laid out step by step further down the page.

So whether you're coming off a night shift, out of milk for breakfast, or after barbecue food on a Sunday: the door at Osebro is open.

Coming by car?

There's free customer parking right outside the door at Storgata 161, and street parking along Storgata close by. In the evening and at night there's plenty of room.

Self-service around the clock

How shopping works here

The store works the same whether staff are at work or not: you let yourself in, scan your items, and let yourself out. All you need is a bank card.

  1. At the door

Scan your bank card on the reader by the entrance and the door unlocks. If you let someone in with you, they are your responsibility while you're in the store.

  2. In the aisles

Pick what you need. In the morning and daytime there are staff who can help you find things, and the floor plan under Inside the store shows where everything is.

  3. Returning bottles?

The deposit machine prints a voucher that's deducted at the checkout. It has to be used in full, and it can't be exchanged for cash.

  4. At the checkout

Scan your items at the self-service checkout and pay by card or phone. Cash isn't accepted, and there's no cash withdrawal.

  5. Need help?

In the daytime there are people in the store to help you. Otherwise press the support call button by the checkouts and you'll get an answer right away.

  6. On your way out

At the checkout you choose between the full receipt and just an exit slip. Scan the slip on the reader by the door, and the door opens.

We don't carry everything, but we can order

A neighbourhood store has limited shelf space, so the range is a selection of what our wholesaler NorgesGruppen supplies. If you're missing a particular product, you don't have to guess whether we can get it: look it up and leave a request, and the store manager will take a look.
